Gotta give a lot of credit to Stones Throw on this one—we sit around all day at L.A. RECORD HQ listening to slo-mo psychedelic hell music and this comp doesn't hold back on anything. No baby food, just Baby Grandmothers and a bunch of what must have been the deep and frightening b-sides to the a-sides already comped a thousand times by compers with a bit less daring and vision. The vibe on this is thick and heavy: downer dudes with plenty of fuzz and echo. File this with V/A Downer Rock Genocide and Gary Higgins and then don't leave the house for a week.
