Five years after starting with borrowed laptops and a bunch of Halloween store wigs, L.A. RECORD is celebrating the release of its 100^th issue with the L.A. RECORD 100 FESTIVAL—a month-long city-wide event connecting all kinds of local music to all kinds of local people with 100% of proceeds going to charity.

Anyone purchasing an L.A. RECORD 100 card for $24.99 here or in person at Origami Vinyl in Echo Park, at {open} in Long Beach or at Burger Records in Fullerton will receive free or discounted admission to all of the events that are part of L.A. RECORD 100. Cards will also be for sale each Monday at Big Freak at the Black Boar (1630 Colorado Ave., Eagle Rock). There are over 120 events attached to the L.A. Proceeds from L.A. RECORD 100 cards will go to CalArts’ wonderful Community Arts Partnership program, which restores arts and music education to Los Angeles public schools that have had their funding cut. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for this program and guarantee an incredible arts education to students of all ages across Los Angeles County.
